HIMALAYAS

Right beside the world-famous Old Course sits “The Himalayas” putting green (normally open April to September) where anyone and everyone can enjoy the experience of St Andrews golf, with absolutely no experience needed! The undulating course is owned by St Andrews Ladies’ Putting Club, so is sometimes used for organised competitions, but at most times it’s open to the public.

CYCLING

You can view the best cycling routes in and out of St Andrews by clicking HERE.  The map also shows further afield including the Small Glen route to Dunkeld from Crief.  The non-direct route to Stirling is 71 miles but perhaps the most scenic you can take on this route with only the last 10 miles into Stirling on main roads. Happy cycling!

BOTANIC GARDENS

The garden has several main areas, ranging from the rock garden and scree, with pools and waterfalls, to sheltered paths through large plantings of trees and shrubs. Herbaceous borders provide summer colour and the large glasshouses contain cacti and succulents and a large collection of alpines besides other plants from warmer regions such as South East Asia. Whatever the season, there is always something to see.
